SBDC - Board Structure
March 19, 2006
The Board will consist of 6 Directors, three elected on the basis of I vote per registered member and three elected on the basis of votes by registered colony count as determined through your 2006 check-off remittance. The two Directors elected with the highest number of votes in each category, will be elected for 3 years. Colony count votes will be counted first. The Directors elected with the second highest number of votes in each category, will be elected for 2 years. The Directors elected with the third highest number of votes in each category, will be elected for 1 year. In subsequent years, only one Director will be elected in each category, and for a term of 3 years.
This package includes the profiles of the candidates, a letter of explanation, two ballots forms, a voter declaration, and a return envelope. The deadline for returning ballots is April 13, 2007, and ballot envelopes postmarked later than that date, will be destroyed unopened. The first ballot indicates the number of colonies being represented by that vote. You may vote for more than 3 candidates on this ballot, but your total vote cannot exceed your total number of colonies. For example, should yourvote represent 125 colonies, asdetermined byyourcheck-offfees in 2006, you could conceivably cast 25 votes in favour of 5 different candidates. The second ballot will be used for voting on the basis of one vote per member, for a maximum of three candidates. You may choose to vote for less than 3 candidates, but you can cast no more than 3 votes in total. For example, you may choose to cast a vote for only two candidates. It would be permissable for you to cast 2 votes for l candidate and I vote for the other.
